Kudus Mohammed’s tribute goal to Christian Atsu wins Ajax goal of the Month award

The 22-year-old old had his free-kick goal against Sparta Rotherham win best goal award of Ajax Amsterdam.

In the space of February, several beautiful goals were scored by the Dutch Eredivisie Eredivisie giant’s but Ghana international Kudus Mohammed goal stood different. He scored a spectacular set-piece goal in Ajax 4-0 triumph over Sparta Rotherham.

Kudus scored his side’s fourth goal from a free-kick and dedicated to countryman Christian Atsu who is now late. The goal was voted for him to clinch the accolade the second time.

Atsu was a victim of the tragic earthquake in Turkey last month that saw millions of people lose their lives.

Kudus Mohammed has netted 17 goals across all competitions in the ongoing campaign for Ajax with 11 goals in the Dutch Eredivisie.

The Black Stars midfielder is in scintillating form and is linked to a move away from Ajax at the end of season .

Clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool FC and Borussia Dortmund are all keeping tabs on the midfielder.
