Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana who switched camp from the French Ligue 1 to Premier League club Southampton on January transfer deadline day, made his League debut on Saturday, February 4, 2023.

He joined Southampton from Stade Rennais on a club record fee and signed a four-year contract.

His compatriot Antoine Semenyo also made a sensational move from Championship side Bristol City to AFC Bournemouth, also on transfer deadline day.

Both made their debut for their respective clubs on Saturday afternoon.

Kamaldeen was a second-half substitute in the Saints’ 0-3 loss to Brentford away from home as bottom placed Southampton continue their fight for Premier League survival.

The sensational winger was good and looked lively after coming on for the second period of the game, bringing on board some spark to the Southampton attack though he could do very little to change the scoreline.

Semenyo also played the full game as Bournemouth suffered a 0-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.

The striker will look to settle into life at the Vitality Stadium quickly and bang in as many goals as he can.
