Former Ghana international and ex skipper of Black Stars, Stephen Appiah is furious with leadership of Ghana Football Association (GFA) especially with their system used in operating football in the West African Country.

The Ghanaian idol since announcing his professional football retirement close to 9-years, has shown interest in stepping into football administration but has not received the encouragement.

Revealing that, its sad legends don’t get opportunity to lead football.

Appiah who played for Hearts of Oak SC in Ghana’s domestic league before his departure to abroad, believe football now a days its run by footballers not about the grammar alot.

“It’s sad that the Legends don’t get the opportunity to lead our football”. The kind of people we can pick phone and call, you’ll be shocked “

“Football nowadays is run by footballers, its not only about the grammar”, Stephen Appiah told Sunyani based SOMPA FM.

” I’m hoping one of the legends will lead Ghana Football one day and he will be massively supported by the others”
