“I’m fully prepared for Black Queens job”- Black Queens of Ghana’s coach, Nora Häuptle
Newly appointed head coach of the senior women’s national team of Ghana, Nora Häuptle has revealed that being the head coach of the Black Queens is a huge task but she is prepared for the job.
The former Israeli female national team coach who has officially begun work with the queens affirmed that she has a big task ahead of her. Nora will have a big task of getting the Black Queens back to where they belong on the continental stage.
The Queens have struggled for elite success in the past years and with her appointment, they will be hoping to get it right this time around.
“Coaching the black queens is a very big task and I’m fully prepared for it. I see a lot of potentials in Ghana and we need to provide them with development which i have the skills to.”
“We already have a lot of talents in camp at Prampram who will be screened and out of them we are going to create a good squad”, she told the GFA media.
“I had a meeting with the technical team and i have the feeling they are all willing to develop which is one of the most important skills to achieve a bigger success.”
“The performances of the Black Queens have dropped drastically in the past years and with my appointment, we want to make a turn to success again.”
“We have high commitments from the president , all leaders and the technical director of the FA. They will support us and load all the necessary investments to fulfill this”
“There are so many good players playing in very good leagues abroad and we need to work to bring them in. My job is to get in contact with them and invite them back to the team but they would have to be committed to the Black Queens”, she added.
The 39-year-old former Swiss International holds a UEFA Pro License ce certificate and has previously worked as an Instructor for the Swiss Football Association.
She played for BSC Young Boys, FFC Zuchwil 05, FC Twente Enschade, FC Thun and the Swiss national team between 1996 and 2010.
Nora will be assisted by Joyce Boatey-Agyei and Aboagye Dacosta.
