Former Accra Hearts of Oak SC Chief Executive Officer, Frederick Moore has called on forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh to ink contract extension with the Ghanaian top-flight club.

Speaking to Oyerepa FM, the former MD called on the youngster who has become a hot cake to stick and stay with the Phobia club.

The Black Stars player is set to become a free agent when his present deal expires on December 31.

Afriyie Barnieh’s contract situation has been a touchy subject that dates back to the 2021-2022 season, with the likes of Hearts of Oak Board Member, Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe also expressing their thoughts on the matter.

“I am glad and grateful for what he’s given Hearts of Oak but I would be more grateful to him if he can come to a compromise as to what needs to be done in the contract negotiations” Moore said.

Barnieh was in Ghana squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar. With two slots offered to locally based players, the Hearts of Oak kingpin made it to Ghana’s fourth FIFA tournament.

He won the Ghana Premier League and FA Cup titles with Hearts of Oak and the U-20 AFCON with the Black Satellites.
