Hearts of Oak SC board member, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has admitted that poor player recruitments is the cause of poor stadium attendance.

The veteran Ghanaian football administrator, says the current crop of players within their fold are not classy, extraordinary, good nor delight to watch. Poor stadium attendance for period now, has being the headache in the country’s elite division.

Assessing the problem, Hearts of Oak SC chief Nyaho Tamakloe honestly lamented the poor quality of players to lack of fans in the stadiums.

“The sort of footballers we have now are not classy. This worries a lot of spectators. If you look at the match we played the last time between Hearts of Oak and Kotoko, it was a big match but you saw what happened at the stadium even when the gates were opened freely. People failed to turn up,” he told Asempa FM.

He added that; “The present generation of players shouldn’t think they know it all. None of them can come to the standard of people like Baba Yara or Mfum or even Asamoah Gyan.

“As of now, being frank with you neither Hearts of Oak or Kotoko can boast of quality players,” he added
