Hearts board yet to decide Slavko Matic’s future – Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe reveals
Board member of Hearts of Oak SC, Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has revealed that the future of head coach Slavko Matic will be decided by the hierarchy.
Concerns of the Continental Club Masters fans, for weeks now is to have their first team coach Slavko Matic leave despite few months in office. He was prevented from training with the team last Friday prior to their game against Asante Kotoko SC on Sunday which they won 1-0.
Matic was prevented following poor performance after suffering back-to-back defeats against Aduana Stars and Great Olympics.
The 47-year-old was not allowed to even sit at the dugout of the Super Clash that also doubled as the 2023 President’s Cup.
Matic whether will join the team or not, Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe says the club will decide on the future of Slavko Matic.
“The future of Slavko Matic will be determined by the board,” he told Asempa FM.
“I cannot confirm if he is staying or not because we [the board] have not met to make a decision on that.
“If we meet and make a decision on the future of Matic, the fans and the public will be informed.
“For now, the assistant coach, David Ocloo is in charge of the team now,” he added.
Slavko Matic replaced Samuel Boadu after a poor start to the ongoing season.
Hearts of Oak now sit 5th on the league log with 31 points and will play Bibiani Gold Stars in the matchday 21 games at DUN’s Park.
