On Tuesday morning, Coach Karim Zito settled squares with Switzerland U-16 team in the four-nation tournament in Serbia.

Ghana’s Black Starlets recorded an emphatic 3-2 victory over Switzerland to win 2023 UEFA U-16 Development Tournament. It was obvious Ghana would win the tournament having commenced it with extra energy.

The Black Starlets first wallop Serbia 4-0 to set the pace off before rallying from behind to stun Spain 3-2 in their second game.

With three out of three, there isn’t any worthy winner other than Ghana.

A brace from Ramsey Asumadu and a goal from Bossman Debrah were enough to ensure the Black Starlets a five-goal thriller win over the Swiss.

Ghana has won the UEFA U16 Development Tournament for the first time since inception.

The four-nation tournament staged in Belgrade, Serbia served as a preparatory tourney for Ghana ahead of the upcoming WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations.
