Ghanaian youngster Stephen Anorful promoted to Salernitana first team

Ghanaian youngster Stephen Anorful Annan has been promoted to the first team of Italian Serie A side Salernitana.

The 19 year old has been handed the No 40 jersey and will work under first team manager Paulo Sousa.

Anorful initially joined the club’s youth team ranks on a six- month contract after moving from Ghanaian lower-tier side Eurafrica.

The midfielder was signed on the short-term deal after impressing on trial.

He will look cement his place as a regular first team player before the end of the season.

The club is expected to tie him on a long-term contract in June.
