Ghanaian who got missing in Birmingham has been found and brought back to Ghana

A Ghanaian delegate, who was reported missing after the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, has been found and brought back to Ghana according to Team Ghana’s Accreditation Liaison officer, Farida Iddriss.

This is according to Farida Iddriss who was the Team Ghana’s Accreditation Laison Officer.

Before the Commonwealth Games ended in Birmingham earlier this month, it was reported that a number of athletes and delegates involved in the games were not found. Notable among them was a Ghanaian delegate.

However the delegate has been found and returned home by authorities. Speaking to Joy Sports, Farida Iddriss revealed the Ghanaian did not run away but got lost during shopping.

“[A delegate] He did not run away but he got lost so he arrived in Ghana on 14th August via Qatar Airways. It’s one of the coaches.

He got lost. I think he was going out for shopping and he couldn’t find his way but we’ve been able to bring him back. Everyone has arrived at their final destination.” Farida told JoySports.
