The Black Stars wideman, Joseph Painstil contributed to three goals as KRC Genk melted Anderlecht FC in a seven-goal thriller on Sunday in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.

Paintsil, 25, got on a brace and also provided one assist to guide his club to a 5-2 deserving victory at the Luminus Arena in match-day 33 fixture. He propelled Genk to stretch their lead on the Belgian top-flight table.

The former Tema Youth FC star came up to the party in the second half their clash against Anderlecht as he notched a brilliant screamer in the 49th minute before assisting Morocco international Bilal El Khannouss for their fourth goal.

With just three minutes to end of their week 33 encounter, the Ghana international sealed his brace to draw his team closer to league title.

Paintsil chalked this feet of three goals involvement after Tanzanian striker Mbwana Samatta and A.O. Mohammed had already handed them a two-goal lead at half time.

KRC Genk are eyeing for the Belgian Jupiler Pro League for the 5th time.

Joseph Paintsil is currently in blistering form having made massive 24 goal-contribution and netted 14 goals with provided 10 assists in the ongoing campaign for KRC Genk.

His performance has seen Genk currently leading the log with 74 points.

Behind them is Union St Gilloise who aims at closing the points gap.

Meanwhile, KRC Genk will travel to face Sporting Charleroi in the next round of matches.
