Ghana forward Joseph Paintsil scores, assists two in Genk dramatic win
Black Stars forward Joseph Paintsil was Genk’s best player on the evening in their league game against Westerlo on Tuesday night.
The 24-year-old was directly involved in three goals as his side secured a thumping victory over their opponents away from home.
Paintsil got his evening underway with a delightful assist for Aziz Ouattarra Mohammed to open the scoring in the seventh minute of the game.
It didn’t take long before the Ghanaian was also on the scoresheet as he netted on the 24th-minute mark to extend the lead for Genk.
The away team headed into the break with a 2-0 lead and looked certain to run away with the victory.
However, Westerlo scored two quick goals to draw level and scare Genk.
