Emmanuel Gyasi achieves milestone with Italian side Spezia Calcio
Ghana winger Emmanuel Gyasi achieved a milestone on Friday night with his 100th appearance for his club Spezia in the Italian Serie A.
Gyasi captained Spazia in their 3-0 defeat to Lazio who sit second on the Italian Serie A log. He made history with the outfit by making his 100th appearance on the night.
It was an unfortunate lost to Lazio, as the Black Stars winger wished to have secured a good results from the game.
Before the game at the Alberto Picco stadium, the Palermo-born Ghanaian was presented with a plaque to celebrate his newest achievement.
“A shame for the defeat, certainly with another result I would have rejoined more this day to celebrate 100 Serie A appearances as its the best with the glorious shirt,” he wrote on Facebook.
“Hundred battles lived with honour and pride. The rise from Serie C to A has not been easy but as I always say with determination, sweat and sacrifice, you can achieve your dreams. Now we aim for salvation.”
The 29-year-old joined Spezia in 2016 while they were in the lower divisions.
He played an instrumental role in Spazia securing top-flight promotion three years ago.
