Ghana defender Alidu Seidu returns to Clermont Foot training after World Cup exit
Clermont Foot defender Alidu Seidu has joined his teammates in France after his country Ghana exited the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The 22-year versatile defender who made his first World Cup appearance has already joined the team to train as they prepare to await the resumption of the top-flight.
Alidu after an impressive World Cup tourney and will hope to replicate the same form and display for his outfit later this month.
He featured in two of Ghana’s three World Cup games, thus against Portugal and South Korea as Ghana failed to progress following a 2-0 defeat to Uruguay in Group H last game.
The JMG Academy graduate was one of the best performers for the four-time African champions at the Mundial.
He will cross swords with LOSC Lille on December 28 on grounds, in the return of the 2022/23 French Ligue 1.
