The Ghanaian defender, who recently made a return from injury, contracted a new one this weekend’s in Clermont Foot away win over Troyes.

The right-back was forced to let go of his teammates during the match between Clermont Foot and Troyes in the Ligue 1 Matchweek 30.

Alidu suffered a meniscus injury since February, and made his return to competition on April 2nd. The Ghanaian started in Clermont’s victory against Ajaccio.

A new starter on Sunday afternoon against Troyes, the 22-year-old lasted only 88 minutes.

He left two minutes from the end of the match with an injury.

The medical team diagnosis has not yet been established. It could be a relapse or a new injury.

The club is expected to communicate in the coming hours on the nature of the injury. This season, Alidu Seidu has played 23 games in all competitions.
