Ghana defender Alidu Seidu features in Clermont Foot victory over Troyes

The young Ghanaian defender made his second appearance for Clermont Foot after returning from a serious injury.

The versatile Black Stars defender commanded a starting berth for boss Pascal Gastien in their Ligue 1 week 30 fixture on Sunday. Clermont Foot played away to Troyes at the Stade de I’Aube.

Alidu’s side frustrated the host for a 2-0 triumph at full time.

Muhammed-Cham Saracevic in the 27th minute, got Clermont Foot infront with a beautiful set-up from Jim Allevinah pass. Before Johan Gastien doubled his outfit goals tally to 2-0, three minutes after.

Half the hour mark, two strikes were enough to see them through in a hard fought encounter.

Alidu suffered a yellow card but was rayed high for his brilliant performance.

However, the Black Stars defender enjoyed 88 minutes of action before been substituted for Florent Ogier due to an injury he sustained.

The victory means, Clermont Foot have amassed 40 and currently sitting 11th in the French Ligue 1.
