According to new Ghana head coach, Chris Hughton, everybody can have his opinion on fast-rising star Mohammed Kudus regards to his best position but he will only find the right balance to his team.

The 64-year old tactician was unveiled to Ghanaians on Monday, March 20, 2023 in Kumasi. At the short event which happened at SG Mall at Ayigya, the media asked Hughton on the performance of Ajax Amsterdam star Kudus Mohammed and how best he can use him to benefit Ghana.

The 22-year-old has been in spectacular form for Club and country, scoring 20 goals across all competitions with 27 goals for the Dutch giants.

The former Right to Dream Academy boy who joined the Dutch Eredivisie club from Nordsjaelland is known to be an attacking midfielder but has been used as Ajax force number and yelled results as well as a winger.

“With regards to Kudus, he is a player that can play in numerous positions. Everybody can have an opinion on his best position. For me it’s just about getting the right balance,” said Hughton at his unveiling.

Kudus has been included in the 25-man squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola.

Hughton will be in charge of the Black Stars until December 2024, with his main goal being winning the Nations Cup in Ivory Coast next year.
