GFA Gen. Secretary Prosper Harrison blast Journalists over Morocco’s technical complex

Ghanaian top journalists after visiting the Morocco technical complex during the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup has descended heavily on the Ghana Football Association(GFA) for failing to raise such project for the development of football in Ghana.

The West African Country can only boost of Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram. A project which was commenced by then GFA boss E.T Mensah and saw continuation from Kwesi Nyantakyi.

The project only host the junior national teams and to an extend the Black Queens.

It has never camped the Black Stars of Ghana due to it poor state.

Morocco who had a development plan written down in few years, have achieved a height no nation in Africa can boost off, from women’s football to men’s football. One resource project to the other with the technical complex Mohammed VI Football Academy the talking points.

In defending Morocco’s technical complex to Ghana’s lack of a magnificent project, General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association Prosper Harrison Addo says Morocco didn’t build Mohammed VI Football Academy with FIFA project money, asuch Journalists should stop lying.

According him, the Ghana Football Association knew the complex before Ghanaian journalists heard of it and visited there, therefore the noise should stop since they don’t have such monies.

“The GFA has been visiting the Morocco technical center even before journalists in Ghana got to know about the project,” he told Akoma FM.

“It’s a good sports development project and we applaud them and we (GFA) wish to have the same here but people should not be lying about it that they (Morocco) used FIFA forward money for it while GFA has spent the money through its teeth, that is untrue.”
