GFA Confirms Festive Season Football Matches to Continue Uninterrupted
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that domestic football competitions will carry on seamlessly during the festive season, blending the joy of Christmas with thrilling football action.
Henry Asante Twum, the GFA’s Communications Director, highlighted the association’s commitment to maintaining the momentum of the game while fans celebrate the holidays.
“This weekend, there will be games. We have two major assignments—an international CHAN qualifier and domestic competitions,” Asante Twum revealed during an interview on Peace FM.
“The Black Galaxies will face Nigeria at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, while the Premier League, Division One League, and Women’s Premier League will also continue. While celebrating Christmas, you will also have the chance to enjoy domestic football. We want everything to go well without a break,” He added.
The GFA aims to ensure that the festive period is filled with excitement for football enthusiasts, particularly after recent election-related pauses in football activities.
