The Communication director of Ghana Football Association(GFA), Henry Asante Twum says his outfit bears the cost of all evening games played in the Ghana Premier League.

There’s being reports that, home teams fuel their generators for night games but Henry Asante has refuted that, revealing the FA does that and spends over Gh₵8,000 per night for every game.

According to him, because the stadia are no more on the national grid and therefore not funded by government the Association has to take care of it.

This is on the back of the disconnection by the Electricity Company of Ghana at the Accra Sports Stadium for owing a debt to the tune of GH¢508,000.00.

“The GFA absorbs all the expenses of night football and it cost us over Gh₵8,000 per game because we don’t depend on the National Grid so we use generators,” Henry told Kumasi FM.
