For HUGE amount of compensation, Asante Kotoko SC rescind decision to sack coach Seydou Zerbo

Ghanaian champions, Asante Kotoko SC took the decision to fire uninspiring tactician Seydou Zerbo but has rescinded on decision over huge compensation.

Before Kotoko defeat to bitter rivals Accra Hearts of Oak SC on Sunday, the club had made it clear to sack their Burkinabe trainer Seydou Zerbo. The Reds lost 1-0 to the Phobians despite their rival’s missing their head coach Slavko Matic in the dugout due to issues with supporters.

Reports gathered by your authoritative news hub, Nkrataasem.com reveals that stakeholders meeting was held in Kumasi calling for calm on the gaffer till end of 2022-23 BetPawa Premier League. Management believe in as much that, Seydou Zerbo is not convincing enough it will be in the club’s best interest to part ways with him after the campaign.

Zerbo joined the Porcupine Warriors before start of campaign on a year contract to replace Coach Prosper Nerteh Ogum who won the Premier league title in his first season.

From the meeting, Management have asked their stakeholders to be patient and calm to see the season through.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko SC will pay Seydou Zerbo $20,000 as compensation should they sack him.

Already, he takes US$3000 as monthly net salary in addition to other bonuses such as airtime and fuel. Zerbo have won just two league games away in 9 matches with two draws as well.

But currently 5th on the league standings with 31 points.
