EXCLUSIVE: Hearts of Oak change Premier league home venue as league resumes

Giant’s Hearts of Oak SC will not be able to enjoy their top-flight league games at their notable home grounds, the Accra Sports Stadium following the decision by National Sports Authority (NSA) to rent it out.

The Accra Sports Stadium from now, will not be available for the team’s trading their top-flight games at the Nations Wembley. Three teams will be affected with this development, thus Accra Hearts of Oak SC, Accra Lions and Great Olympics.

With the league resumption, fixed for Monday, December 19 2020 the aforementioned clubs in Accra have been asked to move their league matches to a new venue because the nation’s Wembley will not be available for football.

The National Sports Authority (NSA), have rented the Accra Sports Stadium to musicians for the Christmas moments which includes concerts.

The Accra Sports Stadium will only be available for football in the second week of January, 2023.

Hence, Hearts of Oak SC decision to move all home games to the Cape Coast stadium whiles Accra Great Olympics and Accra Lions visit the Sogakope Red Bull Arena.

The Premier League due to the 2022 FIFA World went on break but will bounce back on December 19th, 2022.
