Former Ghana defender, John Paintsil has blasted the Ghana Football Association (GFA) over treatment melted on Christian Atsu Twasam before his death.

The 31-year-old who made 65 caps for the Red, Gold and Green Country is no more following a severe earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

Atsu was confirmed dead on Saturday morning after closing to two weeks of search in Turkey. His remains has arrived in Ghana and expected to be buried with Government of Ghana promising to give him a befitting burial.

However, John Paintsil is unhappy about the Ghana Football Association, stating it categorically clear that they stop the hypocrisy. He believes, their snub of Chris Atsu from Black Stars caused his untimely death as he joined Turkish top-flight club Hatayspor on a year contract.

“Stop the Hypocrisy”, he said.

“You snubbed him and kicked him out of your Blackstars at age 31″ Atsu has been struggling to get a permanent stay in a club since the snub”

“We all know the Value & Respect your club gives you when you play for your Nation”

“Don’t pretend you loved him because you not at all”, he stated.

Atsu played for English clubs FC Everton, Chelsea FC, AFC Bournemouth, Newcastle United and Spanish club Malaga as well as FC Porto in Portugal.
