Ex-Ghana international Augustine Arhinful concern with GFA failure to open up on Chris Hughton contract details

Former Ghana international Augustine Arhinful has expressed worry over the Ghana Football Association’s lack of transparency over Chris Hughton’s contract.

The former Brighton manager replaced Otto Addo as Black Stars’ head coach.

However, details of his contract are yet to be communicated by the GFA.

Recent reports suggest that the 64-year-old has rejected a one-year offer by the GFA. Yet the association is yet to comment on the report.

Augustine Arhinful believes this could only lead to speculation which could damage the FA’s image.

“Here we are every time, everything is shrouded in secrecy or we don’t want people to know what is happening, and it creates room for speculation, and that’s how come we are always or people are always having issues with the FA. Not only this FA but all the FA’s so far,” he told LUV FM in an interview.

Meanwhile, the coach will be leading the Black Stars for the first time since taking over in February as Ghana faces Angola in an AFCON qualifier later this month.
