Developing Story: Slavko Matic near Hearts of Oak SC exit, set to be fired before week 21 fixture
Accra Hearts of Oak SC game against bitter rivals Asante Kotoko SC on Sunday could be the last game for their Serbian trainer Slavko Matic, following developing stories.
The Serbian who replaced Ghanaian trainer Samuel Boadu after week 5 of the 2022-23 BetPawa Premier League, is at the risk of losing his coaching job. He currently faces sack as the Continental Club Masters boss.
Despite, Hearts of Oak sitting among the top four teams in the ongoing campaign, things have not gone well for Slavko Matic having failed to maximise profit from poor performing clubs in the top-flight.
His recent performance has seen the aggressiveness of their supporters with defeat to city rivals Accra Great Olympics FC in the Ga Mashie derby taking it all. The level of anger within the team is up there with many asking for the head of coach Slavko Matic.
They are of the opinion that, the 46-year old has nothing to offer the outfit.
Since taking over from Samuel Boadu, Hearts of Oak SC have amassed 25 points recording seven (7) wins, alongside four draws and three defeats.
His performance has not being inspiring to the fans especially their inability to score goals asuch demands his exit. Considering how furious the supporters leaders are, the management is hoping to bring a lasting solution to it by relieving Matic off his position.
It should not be news to you, if Slavko Matic does not sit in the dugout come this Sunday when Hearts of Oak SC clash Asante Kotoko SC in both the Super Clash and President Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium because an emergency meeting from the supporters leadership is seeking for that.
Announcement of Slavko Matic sack afterwards, should also not come in as a surprise.
