Delegation from Asante Kotoko SC visit Christian Atsu family to pay homage
On Wednesday evening, Asante Kotoko SC management led by their Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nana Yaw Amponsah visited the family house of late Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu Twasam.
A delegation of the Ghana Premier League giant’s visited the family of former Ghana international Christian Atsu to sign the book of condolence.
Christian Atsu was confirmed dead in a devastating earthquake that hit Turkey earlier this month.
The team was well represented by Nana Yaw Amponsah and David Obeng Nyarko and accompanied by Atsu’s local agent Abdul Heye Yartey.
The former Chelsea and Newcastle United winger was trapped under rubble for over eleven days before his passing.
Before the unfortunate incident, Atsu was playing for Turkish side Hataysport and had scored his first goal for the club from a sumptuous free-kick hours before the earthquake.
Atsu’s remains has arrived in Ghana, but his family is yet to announce the date for final funeral rite.
Christian Atsu played 65 games for Ghana, scoring nine goals during his career.
