An Accra High court has adjourned a contempt case brought to it by AshantiGold against the Ghana Football Association.

The FA was dragged to court by AshGold who indicated its Executive council had failed to acknowledge an interlocutory injunction placed on the 2022/23 season of the Ghana Premier League.

On October 19, all FA Executive Council members were directed by Judge, Justice Nicholas Agbodakpi, to submit individual, and not a collective response to AshGold’s case of contempt.

The hearing lasted over 2 hours and parties will now reconvene in court on October 26, with Randy Abbey expected to open his defence in a mini-trial.

It will be determined on October 26, whether or not Dr. Randy was served with an order for interlocutory injunction made by the court on September 28.
