Bibiani GoldStars SC suffered a heavy defeat to Real Tamale United FC in their 2022-23 BetPawa Premier League match-week 26 game away on Sunday.

At the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, Manaf Umar lead the host to a 5-1 deserving victory after opening the scoring account in the first quarter of the game. Issah Kuka came along with the second before the visitors through Abednego Tetteh pulled one back to make scores 2-1 after break.

However, Issah Kuka’s second half brace and Stephen Dankwa Badu’s goal was enough to demolish the Miner’s.

In an interview, Manager of Bibiani GoldStars SC admitted that it was a very difficult game which his side could have conceded more than what they suffered.

“We were struggling right from the beginning of the game. We could not hold the ball like we normally played in away matches and without the ball we can not run and defend, we were totally blackout”, Osei said.

“RTU were only playing the game and creating alot of goal scoring chances,
we should have considered more than 5 goals”

“We couldn’t do anything. I will never ever forget this game in my coaching career”, the former Asante Kotoko gaffer revealed.

When questioned whether their defeat to the Pride of the North will not go a long way to affect the team, having set sight on finishing top 6 this campaign.

“The team is still in good shape that we shouldn’t have played like that. But as football, anything can happen, with the experience that I have in the game”

“But, no I don’t think it will cost us. We will manage and syco the players”

“Oh yeah is very very necessary to do that, by putting behind this lost”, Osei said.

GoldStars SC still 6th on the league log with 38 despite the defeat.

They will host Berekum Chelsea FC in their next league game coming Sunday.
