Ghanaian attacking midfielder, Amankwah Baafi masterminded Hearts of Oak SC much needed victory over Nsoatreman FC on Sunday.

At their home turf, Hearts of Oak SC inflicted a 2-1 defeat on the newly promoted club based in Sunyani.

First half own goal by Philip Ofori gave the Phobians the edge to apply some power and determination as they went to the dressing room with a 1-0 lead.

After the break, Amankwah Baafi scored in the 66th minute from a stunning counter attacking system to make it 2-0.

Samuel Ofori later pulled one back for the visitors to end the game in favour of the home side, 2-1.

Speaking after the game, Ocloo praised Amankwah Baafi for his impressive performance.

“Amankwah Baafi is an exceptional player,” he said after the game. “I am very proud of him because he is so comfortable with the ball.

“He is able to play anywhere you place him. I believe the various national team coaches are watching him,” he added.

The slim win has seen Hearts of Oak move 3rd on the league log with 42 points.

They will next travel to Bechem United in the matchday 27 games at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Saturday.
