Coach Chris Hughton for the very first time, sat in the dugout to discharge instructions as Ghana head coach.

He assembled 25-man squad for their double-header Africa Cup of Nations qualifier game against Angola. The 64-year old managed the team to face Angola on Thursday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers match day 3 fixture.

Chris at the end of 90 minutes, recorded his first win for the West African Country, beating Angola 1-0 courtesy Antoine Semenyo’s late goal.

Ghana will travel to Luanda for the second leg encounter on Sunday, March 26 2023.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United FC boss, was appointed Ghana coach in February 2023 and got unveiled on Monday, March 20 2023.

He has seen Ghana maintain their stand in Group E with 7 points.
