Coach Bismark Kobby-Mensah seeks for first win with Great Olympics
The enterprising Ghanaian Coach Bismark Kobby-Mensah is looking to record his first victory with Ghana Premier League side Great Olympics FC after joining the club few weeks ago.
He switched camp to the Capital based outfit following a personal reason to part ways with Karela United FC. Bismark less than two seasons had a solid team for the Aiyinase club to finish good on the 2021-22 Ghana Premier league table.
However, few games into the 2022-23 campaign he left his position as head coach and joined Great Olympics FC weeks later.
He is yet to win a game for the Dade Boys though he was not in the dugout when Great Olympics suffered a 3-1 defeat to Bechem United FC far away in Bechem in week 18 fixture.
The former Hasaacas FC and FC Samartex trainer will face City rivals Accra Hearts of Oak SC on Wednesday in the Ga Mashie derby to mark his first game in charge.
He is aiming to harvest a positive result from the derby game scheduled for Wednesday evening at exactly 6:00 PM.
“We can not afford to lose Great Olympics game”
“It won’t be an easy game at all as a new coach as well but for me it is not an excuse”We will play against Hearts of oak with a structure and a method that the players can understand quickly so that at least they can get a results in the game”, he told Service Radio.
“The whole team is hoping that they won’t disgrace themselves, they can compete against Hearts of oak on Wednesday”.
Great Olympics after 18 league games have accumulated 23 points, 5 points behind Hearts of Oak SC who sit 4th with 28 points.
