CAF Champions League: Augustine Okrah’s Simba FC drawn in Group C
Ghanaian winger Augustine Okrah will making appearance in this season’s TotalEnergies CAF Champions League for Tanzania giant’s Simba Sporting Club.
The Ghanaian winger has seen his outfit pushed to Group C after securing a ticket from the qualification rounds.
Okrah who joined Simba SC early this season from Ghana Premier League side Bechem United FC scored in Simba’s 4-1 aggregate win over Angola Primeiro do Agosto to secure progression.
CAF few days ago, held the draw for the tournament which starts in February after the conclusion of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in January 2023.
Simba has been drawn in Group C with Morocco’s Raja Casablanca, Guinea side Horoya Athletic Club and Uganda’s Vipers Sporting Club.
The top two ranked teams in each of the four groups makes it to the next stage of the continental competition.
Each of the four groups has four teams drawn in it.
Simba will commence campaign with game against Horoya in Guinea on a yet to be determined date between February 10 and February 11.
The Tanzanian giant’s final Group C game is against Raja on March 31 or April 1 in Morocco.
