Black Stars’ Winless Streak Sparks Concern- Henry Asante Twum

Henry Asante Twum, Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), says the Black Stars’ ongoing winless streak in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers is unusual.

The Black Stars are currently third in Group F with just 2 points after four games and are on the verge of not qualifying if they don’t win even one of the games remaining.

In an interview with Asempa FM, Henry Asante Twum says the team is ready to make amends in the games against Angola and Niger.

“It is not normal for Black Stars to play for matches without a win. It is very worrying as a country and for the playing body, but I know the technical team and the players are determined to do their best in the last two games.” He said.

Ghana will take on Angola on Friday, November 15, followed by a home game against Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, November 18, 2024.
