Black Stars goalkeeper’s trainer Richard Kingston to be replaced
Ghana’s new Black Stars coach, Chris Hughton has asked the Ghana Football Association to replace Richard Olele Kingston as Ghana’s goalkeeper’s trainer.
According to reliable information, Richard will no longer be with the four-time African champions having failed to impress the former Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion manager during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar when he was with the team as technical advisor.
Chris Hughton have requested Kingston to be replaced before Black Stars Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola.
He’s told the Association to bring on board, a new goalkeeper’s trainer before camping resumes next week for Angola double-header else he gets an expatriate from the United Kingdom.
Kingston who played for Burnley previously worked under coach Kwesi Appiah, Charles Kwablan Akonnor and Milovan Rejevac.
He was part of the Black Stars during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where Ghana failed to qualify from the group phase by finishing bottom of Group H which had Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.
