Bismark Kobby-Mensah: Great Olympics can not afford to lose against Hearts of Oak
The Oly Dade Boys will entertain City rivals Accra Hearts of Oak SC in Premier league week 19 fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The Ga Matse game, often serve as bragging right for the two especially the winner and asuch always an opportunity for one to prove his worth.
Both Hearts of Oak SC and Great Olympics are not in their best of shapes considering their recent performance in the top-flight having both exit the 2023 MTN FA Cup competition as well.
Great Olympics FC lost 3-0 away to Bechem United in their Premier league last game as a welcome address to head coach Bismark Kobby-Mensah. It was his first assignment following his appointment as the club’s new head coach after the sack of Yaw Preko.
Hearts on the other hand, are suffering under Serbian trainer Slavko Matic firing blank in must games and looks uncertain after many weeks and would want to return to winning ways as they aim for league title this season.
Speaking ahead of game, Great Olympics manager who will be leading the Blue and White lads to his second game in charge says they can not afford to lose it and confident his charges will deliver though it won’t be an easy one for him the coach.
“We can not afford to lose Great Olympics game”
“It won’t be an easy game at all as a new coach as well but for me it is not an excuse”We will play against Hearts of oak with a structure and a method that the players can understand quickly so that at least they can get a results in the game”, he told Service Radio.
“The whole team is hoping that they won’t disgrace themselves, they can compete against Hearts of oak on Wednesday”.
Great Olympics after 18 league games have accumulated 23 points, 5 points behind Hearts of Oak SC who sit 4th with 28 points.
A win will guide Olympics up than a draw or defeat.
