BetPawa Premier League: Karim Zito wants to finish top four with Dreams FC
Dreams FC boss Abdul Karim Zito has made known his plan for the 2022-23 BetPawa Premier League despite a poor run in the first half of campaign.
The Still Believe lads ended the first half with 23 points, and currently 9th on the log but four points away from top four place.
In their first six Premier league matches, Dreams FC won just a game leading to the sack of Ignatius Osei-Fosu, their head coach.
The side under Karim Zito rejuvenated and gathered the pieces to eliminate Accra Hearts of Oak SC from the MTN FA Cup. Dreams FC beat Asante Kotoko SC 2-0 in week 17 fixture and hope to build on that victory.
Speaking to TV3 on warm-up show, Zito said his target for the season is to finish in the top four of the Ghana Premier League this season.
“My target for this season is top four. If we can be in the top four, I will be very happy. Anything beyond that is a bonus,”
Zito also expressed his satisfaction with the performance of Agyenim Boateng Mensah, the team’s top scorer with five goals this season.
“Agyenim Boateng is mobile. I can use him at any place I like. He is very tactical, disciplined and instrumental in the team. He has done well so far this season”
Dreams FC will face Bibiani Gold Stars at home in week 18 fixture of the league.
