Hearts hope for first win; Kumasi derby and Tamale derby on the menu.

The betPawa Ghana Premier league returns this weekend after it was halted for a month due to an injunction placed on it by Ashantigold Sporting Club. On 25th October 2022, an Accra High Court dismissed Ashantigold’s case, making it possible for the Ghana Premier League to resume. Week 4 of the Ghana Premier League is packed with mouthwatering games and here is a preview on it.

Hearts of kick start this weekend’s games against Bibiani Goldstars at the Accra sports stadium on Saturday. The Phobians are yet to win a game this season after playing three games. Bibiani Goldstars have also won only one game on the road since they made their debut in the GPL since last season.
Unbeaten Aduana Stars will travel to Tarkwa to play Medeama SC at the Akoon Park. Aduana Stars are second on the table with 7 points while Medeama are fifth with six points. Medeama are unbeaten at home while Aduana are also unbeaten in the league.

Newbies, Nsoatreman will welcome Karela United to the Konamansah Park in their quest to continue their fine form. Karela United will also be willing to pick the maximum points against their inexperienced opponents. Dreams FC won their first two games in the league before unfortunately losing to Karela United. The Still Believe lads will hope to pick up the pieces against an inconsistent Accra Lions side in Dawu.

In Bechem, Bechem United will hope to reedem themselves and pick up their first three points this season against Kotoku Royals who also lost their last game to Karela. At El-wak stadium in Accra, two teams on form will clash. Legon Cities have won their last two games in the GPL while Berekum Chelsea are undefeated so far in the league.

The Kumasi derby comes off at the Baba Yara stadium. Alhaji Grusah’s boys are yet to win a game this season while Kotoko saw off Nsoatreman the last time they played in the GPL. Another derby comes on Monday at the Aliu Mahma stadium. The Tamale derby will see Real Tamale United and Tamale City clash as both teams seek their first win of the season. Tamale City are yet to score a goal this season. Samartex will also play against Great Olympics who also have not lost a game this season.
