The Betpawa Ghana Premier League season for 2022 /2023 season will kick start this weekend at the various premier league centres. Here is a preview of the games this weekend.

For the first time in two seasons, Accra Great Olympics will be missing the services of coach Annor Walker as the Ghana Premier League begins. The Oly Dade Boys will play thier first match of the season against Bechem United at the Accra Sports stadium with former Ghana winger, Yaw Preko in the dugout. Both teams recently locked horns in the finals of the Ghalca top six tournament with Olympics emerging as winners.

 

At Dormaa Ahenkro, Aduana Stars will play as hosts to Accra Hearts of Oak at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park on Sunday. The Phobians have not won a game in their last two visits to Dormaa. Gaffer for Aduana Stars, Paa Kwasi Fabin will also have a stone to turn by doing his best to win a game because the Ogya lads have failed to win a premier league game in their last 14 fixtures.

 

Maxwell Konadu’s Legion Cities will lock horns with Medeama at the El-Wak stadium while Karela United will hope to beat debutant, Tamale City FC at home. Dreams FC will play as visitors to Bibiani Goldstars who were superb at home last season.

 

Newbies, Sarmatex 1996 will go up-north to play against Real Tamale United who narrowly escaped relegation last season while Accra Lions play against new boys, Kotoku Royals. On Monday, Berekum Chelsea will also trade tackles with King Faisal. Defending Champions, Asante Kotoko have their game against Nsoatreman rescheduled due to their game in the CAF Champions League against Burkinabé side Kadiogo.
