Atsu’s family to meet President Akufo-Addo today
At the fourth floor of the Flagstaff House, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo will host the family of former Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu Twasam.
Information gathered reveals, that the meeting of the two is to put plans down to give Christian Atsu a befitting burial having served the state with his talent as a footballer.
Atsu passed on at age 31, through a devastating earthquake in Turkey early February. The sad event took millions of life including former Ghana international Christian Atsu.
He was plying his trade with Turkish top-flight club Hatayspor where he joined them on a year contract. Before, the tragic news fell down the winger climbed off the bench to score the only goal of their league game to hand Hatayspor a win from a set-piece in the die embers.
He was trapped in a rubble the following morning and Ghanaians could only hear of a bad news.
Stateman, Akufo-Addo has arranged to meet the family of Christian Atsu to deliberate on how best they can give Atsu a befitting burial. Meeting scheduled for 12:00 local time.
Already, one week observation for the former Chelsea FC, AFC Bournemouth, Newcastle United FC and Everton FC player has been fixed for March 04, 2023.
