Atsu’s body to be flown to Ghana for burial

Turkish Super League side Hatayspor FK has confirmed the passing of Christian Atsu with club announcing body to be flown to Ghana for burial.

The Ghana international has been profound dead after weeks of trapping in rubble which occurred in Turkey in a 7.7 magnitude earthquake.

Hatayspor has confirmed Atsu’s departure the player’s remains will be sent to Ghana for a befitting burial.

He joined the Turkish side from Saudi side Al Raeb in the immediate past offseason and made just two appearances for the side.

The former FC Porto player spent eight seasons competing in the English Premier League for clubs like Newcastle United, AFC Bournemouth and Everton.
