Asante Kotoko SC to play Chelsea without key midfielder
Asante Kotoko to visit Berekum Chelsea without Richard Boadu
Reigning Ghana Premier League champions, Asante Kotoko SC will lock horns with Berekum Chelsea on Friday in match week 26 fixture. They will travel to the Golden City Park to play as guests to the Bibires.
But they will be without midfielder Richard Boadu who doubles as captain of the side.
The Ghanaian midfielder due to accumulated yellow cards, is suspended for the epic encounter. He picked up his third yellow card in five games during their outstanding league game against King Faisal.
Boadu did not travel with the team to Berekum. He has received nine yellow cards in the ongoing BetPawa Premier League.
Agadas has been a key figure in Kotoko’s set-up this season, playing every single minute of football in 22 Premier League games with two goals.
The Porcupine Warriors will be hoping to secure their first win in Berekum in two seasons and occupy the second position on the league table in their quest to defend the title.
Last week’s draw with King Faisal denied Coach Abdulai Gazale the chance to record his second victory after beating RTU 4-0.
Kotoko currently rank fourth with 39 points after 25 games.
