Former Black Stars defender, Joe Addo, has questioned the Ghana Football Association’s decision to allow Otto Addo lead Ghana to the 2022 FIFA World Cup on a part-time basis.

The Black Stars gaffer balances his role at the national team with club activities at the German side Borussia Dortmund.

Prior to the last international, George Boateng resigned as manager of Aston Villa’s U-23 side to focus fully on the Black Stars assistant coach job but Addo is yet to commit fully to the Ghana job, a decision his former teammate at the 2006 World Cup is not happy about.

“You’re going there with a part-time coach? Are you kidding me in this day and age?” he quizzed in an interview on GHOne TV.

“We must have a substantive Coach to go to World Cup. Either we have a permanent coach or we don’t have a coach.”

The Black Stars return to the Mundial after missing out on the 2018 edition in Russia. Ghana has been drawn into Group H where they will come up against Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.
