Ghana and AFC Bournemouth forward, Antoine Semenyo has disclosed that he watched former Ghana international Asamoah Gyan severally who gradually became his idol.

The English born said he want to be like Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan.

Baby Jet during his playing days, was regarded as one of the deadly strikers in Ghana and Africa, after scoring 6 goals at the FIFA World Cup and scoring several Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.

He scored 51 goals in 109 appearance to become Ghana’s all-time topscorer.

Gyan last played for Ghana in 2019 after leading the Black Stars to several semi-finals and a couple of finals in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

With Ghana struggling to find a replacement for Asamoah Gyan, Antoine Semenyo who was impressive in his last outing for the Black Stars believes he could improve and play like Gyan one day.

“I used to watch him when he came to AFCON competitions and the World Cup. He was such a big player and I dream to be exactly like him” Semenyo told GhanaWeb.
