Antoine Semenyo excel in Bournemouth defeat to league leaders Arsenal
Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo secured his second start on Saturday for AFC Bournemouth but could not guide the team to a draw or win in the 2022-23 English Premier league match week 25.
It was his second start in a Cherries shirt for the Ghanaian forward.
The January arrival made his debut against Brighton & Hove Albion and has had a couple of impressive cameo appearances.
The Ghana international has had a lot of praise internally, with lots of belief in his strength and speed, and ability to play with both feet, and was looking forward to a brighter came on Saturday against Arsenal FC.
He inspired his side to a 2-0 lead with his intelligent run into spaces. It handed Bournemouth a lead in the first half through Philip Billing before a second from Marcos Senesi in the second session.
The attacker was replaced by Jaidon Anthony in the 64th minute at the Emirates stadium.
Bournemouth lost it all after the 62nd minute when Semenyo’s compatriot Thomas Partey lead league leaders Arsenal to a 3-2 comeback victory.
Bournemouth 3-0 defeat away to Arsenal, now sit 18th position with 21 points.
