“Aduana Stars is winning double this season” – Takyi Arhin declares after parking Asante Kotoko SC
General Manager of two-time Ghana Premier League champions Aduana Stars FC, Takyi Arhin has revealed that his outfit has targeted for a double in the 2022-23 league season.
Aduana Stars is on course to winning both the Premier league and MTN FA Cup after eliminating Asante Kotoko SC on Sunday from the FA Cup round of 16 clash. The Ogya Boys inflicted pain on the Porcupine Warriors at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park following a 1-0 defeat.
Sam Adams 58th minute goal from the spot proved enough to push Asante Kotoko SC away from the competition as Aduana Stars keep heads up high.
Speaking after the game, Arhin says his outfit are gunning for a double this season and no team can stand them.
Already Aduana Stars sit comfortably on the Premier League top spot after 18 league games with 35 points, five points better off Bechem United FC and seven points away from Asante Kotoko SC and Hearts of Oak SC.
“We’ve beaten Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, the rest have no way through us so they should forget it. When we clinch the league title with the FA Cup, who ever team we face in the FA Cup final will go to Africa if they can”
“But we are going for the double this season, no team can stop us”, he concluded.
