Abdul Baba Rahman omitted from Ghana squad for AFCON qualifiers
The left-back has been axed from Ghana’s final squad for their African Cup of Nations assignment scheduled later this month.
Ghana who have four AFCON titles to their name, will square off with Angola in double-header encounter this month with first leg fixed for Kumasi, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on March 23, 2023.
Before, a reverse fixture three days later in Luanda at Estadio de 11 Novembro Stadium 17H00.
New Ghana coach Chris Hughton on Thursday announced a 25-man squad without Reading FC defender Abdul Baba Rahman for the first time since last two years.
His place has been taken by Sheriff Tiraspol defender Patrick Kpozo.
Baba is currently on loan to Championship side Reading FC from Chelsea FC.
