Joseph Paintsil reacts to Ghana's 1-1 draw with Angola
Joseph Paintsil upon returning to the national team after miraculously missing out at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, could not break into Chris Hughton’s starting line-up in their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Paintsil, however was a second half substitute in Ghana’s second leg game against Angola in Luanda on Monday. He climbed off the bench to inspire the Black Stars to a 1-1 draw after Lucas Joao’s had strike in the 51st minute strike from the penalty spot for Angola.
The Belgium based winger provided an excellent assist to Osman Bukari after making an intelligent run with the ball from the right side of Ghana’s attack. Osman with his first touch of the game equalized for Ghana in the 72nd minute.
Painstl having continued what he does best in club football at the national level, thus assisting took to twitter to hail the performance of his teammates.

Following the draw away, Ghana lead Group E with 8 points after four matches having won two and drawn two.
The Black Stars will host Central African Republic and travel to Madagascar in the final two matches in Group E.
