2022 World Cup: I hope Morocco wins the title – Ronaldo
Brazil legend Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima hopes Morocco annex the 2022 World Cup title following their exploits at the mundial.
Morocco became the first African nation to reach a World Cup semi-final and ended the hopes of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal.
Striker Youssef En-Nesyri scored the winning goal in the first half, leaping highest to beat goalkeeper Diogo Costa to the ball and heading in to spark pandemonium at Al Thumama Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the semi-finals games, the former Brazil forward said he is hoping Morocco will emerge as winners of the World Cup but was of the opinion they might not be able to beat France in the semi-finals.
“I hope they win, but I think they will not be able to defeat France. Their adventure is wonderful.”
Morocco will take on France in the semi-finals on Wednesday at the Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar.
